Whitewater North was started in a riverside lay-by in 2025 by two local outdoor guides Dan and Jack who love rivers, wild places, and sharing proper adventures with good people.

We’re both active Whitewater kayakers and experienced guides, with years spent hosting on rivers and in the mountains across the UK and around the world. Whitewater is what we know best, and it’s what we’re most passionate about, from rafting and tubing to exploring places that feel a little bit wild.

Our aim is simple: to take people into amazing environments with straightforward top quality equipment and have a lot of fun splashing down rivers…..simple and proper. Everything we run is guided, safety-focused, and shaped around the group in front of us — whether that’s your first time on the river or you’re looking for something a bit more exciting.

We care deeply about the landscapes we work in and about building something positive here in Cumbria, working alongside local businesses and landowners to create rich experiences that everyone benefits from.
